Apex Healthcare Group's wholly-owned manufacturing division Xepa-Soul Pattinson (Malaysia) Sdn Bhd operates under the Xepasp name. Xepasp produces high quality off-patent pharmaceuticals for domestic and export markets.
Xepasp laboratories develop products – formulating, designing and validating – that are then manufactured to exacting standards. From there, Xepa’s marketing team brands, positions, promotes and handles sales of the products to private and government-run clinics, pharmacies and hospitals, within Malaysia and the region.
Xepa's plant is at a 10-acre site in Cheng Industrial Estate in Malaysia and comprises 180,000 square feet of development laboratories, production floors, warehouses and offices.
The Xepa range of products includes anti-infectives, anti-diabetics, anti-hypertensives, neuromuscular agents, analgesics, dermatologicals, ophthalmologicals, cough mixtures and antihistamines in the form of tablets, capsules, oral liquid and suspension, creams and sterile eyedrops
Best selling products developed in the last few years include the antihistamines ezede® and Adezio®, Covastin, a lipid lowering drug and ImexaTM a new macrolide antibiotic, while the range of cough preparations including Sedilix®-DM continues to be the market leader.
Xepa employs the world-class (PIC/S) Good Manufacturing Practice. Its plant is ISO 9001:2000 certified for its Quality Management System and the laboratory is ISO/IEC 17025 certified.
Over the next few years, Xepa will continuously embark on upgrading and expansion of its plant and facilities, which will keep it in the forefront of the regional market for years to come.
